Teacher of the Month! (Dec 2005)
It is our great pleasure to announce that Sherida Cox is December's English for Asia Teacher of The Month.
Sherida earned her Certificate in TESOL with EfA in 2004 and has been working with us ever since. She has successfully completed numerous courses in various schools and has been specifically asked to return by a number of them.
Sherida's big heart and warm personality extends to students and teachers alike. She recently worked wonders in a Drama course at a primary school, putting together an impressive Halloween play with her class with a mere two weeks of preparation time. She has shown creativity and inventiveness in her excellent materials compilation and has proven to be reliable and conscientious time and time again. Little wonder schools and students love her!
A few words from the lady herself…
"I was thrilled as well as hugely surprised to receive this wonderful award. My initial reaction was - Why Me? - I have met many wonderful and helpful teachers at EFA that I just try to do my bit in return.
I am thoroughly enjoying teaching English as a second language in Hong Kong schools and must admit I get a real kick when 'everything goes well' and can see the children enjoying speaking English.
My thanks go to a great staff team in the office, who are always supportive and helpful. Thank you for the award.
